Job Summary
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, priorities, capacity, material availability, and cost targets. Prepare plant capacity forecasts, balance workload and resources to support on-time delivery, and adjust schedules when conditions change. Monitor production metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions while ensuring standard processes are consistently followed. Support new product introduction by evaluating manufacturability and efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and reduce costs. This 6-month fixed term contract at The Wing Group's Burnaby location requires a Manufacturing Planning Specialist to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor or Diploma or Certificate with a technical discipline related to Manufacturing Industry
- Good shop floor planning & scheduling abilities
- Good Supply Management and/or Forecast / Capacity planning understanding
- Good Product Introduction process and knowledge
- Good working knowledge of garment related machinery & equipment, and its spec and requirements
- Good command of English language, verbal and written
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good manufacturing management skills
- Full literacy in personal computer
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese an asset
- ERP experience an asset
- ISO and Industrial WorkSafe knowledge an asset
