Job Summary
Measure frames with tracing machines, sort and receive frames into colored trays, and inspect lens blanks for surface flaws. Operate finishing and AR coating equipment to mount, align, and tint lenses while clearing machine errors. Invoice and package finished jobs, scanning and binning them into customer boxes for shipment. Perform cosmetic inspections, wash lenses with solvents, and reclaim alloy from processed surfacing blocks. Comply with all safety guidelines and report defects to supervisory personnel. Work Monday through Friday from 9pm to 6am, meeting production expectations and adhering to documented standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience
- Ability to follow procedure
- Ability to contribute as an individual and a team member
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Computer literate
