Job Summary
Manufacturing Operator Lead oversees a production shift in the raw materials/mix production area, ensuring safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control while coordinating employee relations and shift communications. Responsibilities include enforcing safety rules and PPE use, participating in 5S housekeeping, preparing areas for inspections and inventory, relaying information to the supervisor, maintaining effective cross-team communications, documenting daily mix reports, tracking equipment measurements, and contributing to plant cost reduction. Requires at least one year of industrial experience, knowledge of production equipment and Machine Operator-Mix Plant duties, and a high school diploma or equivalent; operating a front end/wheel loader is preferred. Ability to stand, work overtime, and lift up to 50 pounds in a typical manufacturing environment with extreme temperatures is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year’s experience in an industrial environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of production equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Machine Operator-Mix Plant duties
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience in operating a front end/wheel loader is preferred
