Job Summary
As a Manufacturing Operator III on the A2 shift (7pm–7:30am, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday with every other Saturday; 15% differential), you will join AbbVie’s pharmaceutical finishing operation as a Production Specialist I-style contributor. You will support setup, changeover, and packaging of pharmaceutical products, contribute to a safety- and quality-focused team environment, and work on finishing lines to meet production requirements. Responsibilities include adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures, performing line clearances and line sanitation, assisting in the setup of automated packaging equipment, operating automated and semi-automated equipment, conducting quality-impactful tasks (in-process checks, sampling, and bulk/commodity accountability), sustaining 6S practices, escalating safety and quality issues, driving continuous improvement through cross-functional communication, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and collaborating with the production schedule with limited supervision. The role requires standing 8–12 hours daily, lifting up to 25 pounds, and typically 40–48 hours per week (with potential to 60 hours based on manufacturing demands). A high school education or equivalent is required, with technical certificates or degrees preferred, and familiarity with systems like SAP/MAXIMO is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn SAP and MAXIMO
- Experience or familiarity with POMs or related systems is preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements and procedures is preferred
