Job Summary
Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead aerospace/defense multi-site manufacturing divisions with on-site responsibilities and regular travel. Drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across locations; own P&L, optimize costs and margins; collaborate with engineering, sales, and program management to advance strategy, growth, and customer engagement. Requires executive-level leadership with 20+ years of manufacturing operations experience, strong Lean/Six Sigma and financial acumen, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MBA preferred); relocation support available. On-site role based in New Haven, CT with travel to facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- MBA or equivalent (advanced business education preferred)
- Minimum 20 years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations
- Experience managing multi-site operations in highly regulated, quality-driven production environments
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing background required
- Full P&L responsibility experience
