Job Summary
Develop operating instructions for production activities and ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good and safe working conditions. Investigate hardware failures of returned products, perform testing and inspections on finished products, and collaborate with design engineers and suppliers to identify and resolve manufacturing issues. Manage inventory of raw materials, finished products, and non-conforming products while following the 5S methodology to improve production systems. Work with outsourced services to introduce manufacturing processes and support product validation through on-site and off-site tests. Serve as a communication window between Mujin Japan, US, and Europe, providing technical support for deployed products and driving continuous improvement in production and field support processes.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Strong interest in manufacturing, hardware, and engineering operations
- Comfortable working hands-on with electrical, mechanical, and testing equipment
- Ability to use common electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- English work proficiency
- Japanese work proficiency with English reading and writing skills
- Candidates must currently reside in Japan
- Candidates who do not currently have full-time work authorization must be eligible to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for full-time employment in Japan
