Job Summary
Supervises operations across multiple departments and shifts at Hood Industries' plywood mill in Beaumont, MS, coordinating production schedules, budgets, and material flow while ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to policies. Works with other supervisors to maintain machinery and work areas, coordinate preventive maintenance, and drive on-time production. Participates in training, safety checks, and reports generation (work hours, production levels, quality testing) using systems like KRONOS, Guardian, and Lumber Trax. Requires 1-2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience, strong leadership and communication skills, a high school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred), and knowledge of OSHA standards. Must be able to work multiple shifts and weekends; background check and drug screen are required; must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years supervisory or team lead experience
- Prior manufacturing experience; wood products experience preferred
- Knowledge of Internet, Excel, and Word
- General knowledge of OSHA standards
- Ability to work multiple shifts and weekends
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership and teamwork
- Good technical aptitude
- Ability to supervise multiple departments and shifts
- Experience with production schedules and budgets
- Safety and quality focus
- Experience with maintenance coordination
