Job Summary
Manufacturing Operations Manager responsible for owning daily plant operations, increasing throughput and productivity, and driving Lean/Continuous Improvement across production, quality, and efficiency. Leads supervisors, team leads, and production teams to establish clear expectations and measurable performance standards, strengthen accountability, and embed a culture of ownership and execution on the shop floor. Focus areas include improving scheduling/workflow, reducing waste, identifying bottlenecks, implementing KPI-driven management, and delivering profitability through stronger operational execution. Experience with budget ownership, P&L impact, and wood-products manufacturing (doors, cabinetry, millwork, architectural wood products, furniture) is highly preferred. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership on the floor, developing people, solving problems, and delivering measurable business results within a growth-stage/turnaround manufacturing context.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading a manufacturing operation
- Experience managing supervisors, team leads, and production teams
- Demonstrated success increasing throughput, productivity, and operational performance
- Strong floor leadership presence and hands-on management style
- Experience driving accountability and measurable operational results
- Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience
- Understanding of manufacturing financials, labor utilization, and operational KPIs
- Experience with budget ownership and P&L impact
- Wood products manufacturing experience
