Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for overall engineering for specific parts/projects throughout the manufacturing process, including all electroplating processes, grinding, honing, bushing installation, and paint. Main responsibilities: Formulating manufacturing process plans by using Bills of Material, Project Development Schedules, and Operation Detail Sheets. Investigating the entry of the above into the MRP system – BaaN. Reviewing Contract Review forms for accuracy to the quote. Liaising with customers regarding part revision changes and informing pertinent departments by incorporating these changes into the Master Process Plan. Initiating the design and purchase of fixtures, special tools and handling equipment required. Developing rework schemes. Studying and improving the manufacturing process by monitoring quality, cycle times and methods of operations. Working with operators on the floor to develop solutions or process improvements. Document & maintain traceability in accordance with all quality standards, such as AS9100 and NADCAP. Our ideal candidate: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment. Preference in the aerospace industry. Possess a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering practices and processes. Computer software literacy. (Office, Catia V5, Microsoft Project). Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment. Preference in the aerospace industry.
