Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and manage three shifts of production manufacturing operations through subordinate managers and supervisors to achieve high-quality, low-cost, on-time product delivery while meeting safety objectives. Ensure operations adhere to Summit Lean Manufacturing System practices, including standardized work, kanban, and root cause problem solving, while maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. Manage manufacturing planning tools for molding, painting, and assembly to optimize equipment loading and staffing. Train departmental hourly employees and subordinate managers, participate in disciplinary processes, and lead collaboration across plant departments. Engage in new product development pre-launch activities, including pre-production runs and issue communication. Personally maintain plant floor focus by "going and seeing" all shifts and participating in quarterly employee meetings.
Required Qualifications
- College degree
- 4 years manufacturing experience
- 6 years experience in a technical or management position in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices
- Experience in Plastic Injection Molding
- Experience in Painting
- Experience in Automotive Assembly processes
- Agreement to complete all post-hire required training
- Minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the cognitive portion)
- No travel required
