Job Summary
Manage daily operations in plants within the protective packaging division, overseeing quality, productivity, and safety while assigning workloads to plant employees. Identify and prioritize manufacturing plans to achieve service goals, implement performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement projects including waste reduction. Manage labor and capital resources to optimize systems, balance budgets, and schedule resources for efficient operation and planned equipment maintenance. Assist in developing annual performance plans and interact with internal departments and external contacts to support site and corporate vision.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in a maintenance supervisor or manager role
- Demonstrated manufacturing based project management and continuous improvement skills
- fundamental understanding of lean six sigma
- fundamental understanding of IPS
- Ability to manage heavy workload within busy manufacturing environment
- successfully complete projects within assigned deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other (applicable) technical discipline
