Job Summary
Manufacturing Manager (2nd Shift) leads a union-represented workforce across multiple manufacturing disciplines supporting aircraft configurations. Responsible for developing and executing plans to meet cost and schedule targets, driving performance and first-time quality, facilitating Tier 1/2/CAT meetings, and addressing defects and restraints. Collaborates cross-functionally to resolve engineering issues, part shortages, and staffing constraints; supports leadership with aircraft operations status and build milestones; develops resources, provides technical guidance, and identifies process improvements; fosters inclusion and safety, and ensures compliance with policies. Requires leadership experience or Boeing leadership training, lean-methodology experience, and ability to work 2nd shift onsite in Ridley Park, PA; pays attention to cost performance and continuous improvement, with a focus on ultimately delivering aircraft on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
- Willing/able to work 2nd shift
