Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Technician needed for 12-hour night shift at C-P Flexible Packaging. Responsibilities include machine repair and preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, and production equipment; installation assistance on capital projects; modification and installation of equipment or processes; startup of equipment; facilities maintenance and building modifications; troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns; manage inventory by reporting low levels; interpret work instructions and read technical materials; complete work order entries; adhere to safety standards; and collaborate with others. Requires reading technical procedures and schematics, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays; physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
- Familiar with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Knowledge and experience troubleshooting PLCs and drives
- Have tools/ well-stocked toolbox
- Experience in industrial electrical panels, electrical machinery, and motor controls
- Read/analyze/interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and proactively take corrective action
- Excellent oral and computer communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to define and solve problems
- Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Physical demands: lifting up to 80 lbs
- Must be able to work at heights using ladders or lifts, or in confined spaces for short periods during inspections/modifications
