Job Summary
Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Apprentice (24-Month Program) at Biogen. An apprenticeship that combines hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment with enrollment in a registered partner community college. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and laboratory equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls issues, support root-cause analysis and corrective actions, collaborate with Engineering, Validation, Quality, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams to improve system performance, assist with validation activities and continuous improvement initiatives, and develop proficiency with CMMS, engineering drawings, and technical documentation while maintaining training compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in, or willing to enroll within 30 days of hire, in a 2- or 4-year academic program
- Ability to commit and complete an apprenticeship program at an approved community college
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or controls principles
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and industrial repair equipment
- Willingness to learn and work in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and established work practices
- Attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to work under close supervision in an operational manufacturing or facility environment
