Job Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic Lead assigns jobs and tasks, monitors production and maintenance projects, and provides training to lower-level maintenance mechanics. Responsibilities include installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex machinery, performing preventive maintenance and repairs, documenting work in the computerized Maintenance software, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates must have an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, strong problem-solving skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Two to five years related experience and/or training (electrical, machine shop, machine troubleshooting, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, training, and team-building skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Food or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- General knowledge of electric, welding, and machine shop required.
