Job Summary
Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority, maintaining machine coolant levels and removing chips/shavings with a forklift. Empty chip tubs, change coolant when directed, and recycle used coolant using Emerson equipment. Align with all safety and work instructions while maintaining clear communication within the department and adhering to housekeeping standards for cleaning and restocking. Requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to stand for long periods, and safe operation of stand-up forklifts and motorized ride-on pallet jacks. 2–3 years of machine shop experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Strength in arms and legs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to safely operate stand-up forklifts
- Ability to safely operate motorized ride-on pallet jacks
Desired Qualifications
- 2 – 3 years experience working in a machine shop
