Job Summary
Manufacturing Leader – Center of Excellence (COE) for Fabrication Shop. Oversees day-to-day fabrication operations, leads a high-performing team, and drives Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and KPI-based performance. Responsible for budget preparation, financial performance, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, as well as qualification/validation of personnel, equipment, and processes. Collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to initiate expansions, establish training programs, and ensure Built in Quality and ISO standards are met. Requires a strong track record in heavy machining/assembly, lean/Six Sigma expertise, and leadership in a regulated manufacturing environment, with capability to manage cross-functional teams and drive cost-efficiency and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- BE/ B. Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Fabrication with 15+ years of experience
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes
- Experience in heavy fabrication and assembly
- Basic Knowledge of Heat treatment processes
- Understanding of safe practice and risk related welding process and EHS requirements
- Proper understand a Welding document like, WPS, Welding book & Welding sketch/types of welding joints (Geometry and Symbols) and different positions
- Knowledge of GMAW Welding Process
- Knowledge of SAW Welding Process
- Good knowledge of welding sequence for control a distortion during welding
- Knowledge of inspection requirements and welding quality/defects impacts, visual inspection criteria
- Knowledge of defect/discontinuity of fabrication processes
