Job Summary
The Manufacturing Inspection Coordinator is responsible for creating manufacturing inspection plans for assembly and machining operations using customer supplied engineering. Key responsibilities include developing inspection plans for first part buyoffs and spot checks, creating bubble sheets to correlate with inspection plans, verifying internal prints with CAD software, and working with the shop floor to improve inspection processes. Required qualifications include a minimum of two years’ experience in aerospace or aircraft, proficiency in precision measurement tools, familiarity with engineering drawings, and basic knowledge of CATIA and CMM.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an aerospace/aircraft
- Experience in Quality, or Production
- Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools/equipment
- Familiar with surface finish, edge preparation and general appearance of machined parts
- Knowledgeable of Engineering drawings/models
- Computer literate
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with outside processing certifications
- Basic knowledge of CATIA
- Basic understanding of a CMM
- Basic understanding of CNC machining
- Familiar with AS9100/QMS
