Job Summary
Assist in the safe operation of production equipment by adjusting machine controls for speed, temperature, and pressure. Perform product labeling, packing, and wrapping while helping to supply the production line. Conduct routine quality inspections, testing, and complete production documentation including logs and downtime tracking. Adhere to all safety rules, housekeeping standards, and SQF system requirements including GMPs and HACCP principles. Help perform routine preventative maintenance and assist maintenance personnel on machine-related issues. Work a morning shift producing orders on time to satisfy customer needs and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience operating high speed manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking to processes and equipment
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Experience with hand tools
- Complete production documentation (paper and electronic): Production logs, Quality inspections, Down Time tracking
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- High awareness toward safety for yourself and others
- Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team or individually
- Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs
- Eye/hand coordination
Desired Qualifications
- Extrusion experience preferred
- College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary
- Ability to operate hoists, pallet jacks, and other related equipment is a plus
