Manufacturing Group Leader - Maintenance - Toledo

Job Summary
Analyze and respond to the manufacturing daily plan, adjusting operations as needed while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Lead a group of skilled hourly workers to troubleshoot, repair complex equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and diagnosis of malfunctions. Drive accountability through people and processes, conducting checks, tests, and communicating evaluation results to maintain productivity and quality. Proactively offer solutions to operational or technical issues and supervise the efficient use of labor, inventory, and machinery. Enforce National and Local UAW Agreements and implement divisional and corporate safety policies. Requires one year of supervisory experience, ability to read blueprints, and willingness to work weekends and rotating shifts in a loud, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader
- Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
- Experience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict and decision making
- Experience managing, leading people, and addressing performance concerns
- Demonstrate a high analytical ability to solve complex problems
- Basic computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, typing, email, etc.)
- Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
