Manufacturing Expert

Manufacturing Expert (Instrument Engineer) in Dwingeloo, NL responsible for design for manufacturing of CNC milled parts, measurement/verification with CMM, and overall accuracy/optimization of NOVA production facilities. Collaborates with technicians, designers, PA/QA, and project managers to enhance design and production processes. Key tasks include advising on design feasibility for machining, manufacturability assessments for milled parts/assemblies, devising manufacturing strategies with CAM/CNC operators and CMM, designing part fixation, supporting CNC/CMM processes, optimizing part accuracy from CMM feedback, developing/maintaining processes/tools for CNC/CMM accuracy, and evaluating new manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing). Requires HBO degree in mechanical engineering or comparable experience, 5+ years of relevant mechanical design/CNC manufacturing experience, expertise in 5-axis CNC machines, desirable CAM programming, and strong Dutch/English communication. The role is based in Dwingeloo within NOVA OIR, with an initial two-year contract (32-40 hours/week) and potential for permanence depending on performance and funding.
