Job Summary
Lead bid preparation for custom landscape architectural projects, including pergolas, modular planting systems, and integrated site furnishings. Execute precise quantity take-offs and budgetary cost analysis for fully integrated systems combining planters, seating, lighting, and audio. Analyze architectural and structural plans to estimate specialized criteria such as wind uplift performance, structural attachment systems, and drainage performance. Partner with internal design and production teams to coordinate labor and fabrication timelines while evaluating technical material requirements for aluminum and custom metals. Maintain professional relationships with general contractors and subcontractors throughout the project award phase and actively seek opportunities to innovate the estimating workflow. Work onsite in Woods Cross, Utah, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical estimating
- specifically within architectural metals
- landscape architectural products
- building envelope systems
- or structural systems
- BA/BS degree in Construction Management
- Engineering
- Architecture
- or a related field
- Deep understanding of architectural systems
- including fabrication workflows
- finishing processes
- and relevant codes (IBC and wind load requirements)
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu
- Excel-based estimating systems
- and ERP systems (NetSuite)
- familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
- Ability to navigate complex site-specific challenges—such as saturated soil containment and structural load-bearing requirements—with a high degree of accuracy
- Full-time position: Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Location: Onsite at our location in Woods Cross, Utah
- Must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
- or an equivalent combination of professional experience and technical training
- familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software is a plus
