Job Summary
Execute preventative maintenance programs for production equipment in Finishing operations, including supporting vendor-performed maintenance and managing critical spare-parts inventory. Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues related to filter shaping, cleaning, beveling, laser engraving, and assembly processes to minimize unplanned downtime and sustain production flow. Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize asset utilization, and restore machine functionality. Work within a newly opened Optics Center of Excellence in West Henrietta, NY, focusing on high-end life sciences optics technologies.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing capacity
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining equipment and tooling
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to interface with the organization and value stream partners
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Able to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to identify the root cause
- Can lead maintenance initiatives
- Organized, motivated, and able to prioritize tasks
- Organized and disciplined in maintaining Maintenance Area
- Have a passion to succeed in all aspects of the position, be of the highest integrity; customer focused and is committed to the paradigm of continuous improvement
- Lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information
