Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician - (12hr Night Shift)

Job Summary
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on injection molding machines, extruders, and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and PLC-driven machinery. Diagnose mechanical failures involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repairs. Maintain HVAC and facility support systems. Document all activities in SAP and follow strict safety protocols including LOTO procedures. Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve equipment uptime. This role operates on a 2-2-3 schedule of 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must have 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience and strong electrical diagnostics skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience working as a mechanic or technician
- Experience in a cGMP environment
- Electrical diagnostics (120V–480V systems)
- Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting
- Mechanical systems troubleshooting & repair (bearings, belts, couplings, alignment)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Motor controls and VFD troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of AC/DC drives
- Experience with industrial automation systems
- CMMS experience
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Standing for full shift
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally assisted lifting above 50 lbs.
- Extended standing and walking
- Occasional kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Ability to work safely around energized systems and moving machinery
- Must be available for 12 hr shift/nights
- Shift: 2-2-3 12hr Night Shift 7pm-7am
