Job Summary
Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to optimize production equipment for safety and maximum OEE, lead continuous improvement projects, collaborate with design/quality/production teams, and develop/monitor real-time production data via SCADA. Role entails root-cause analysis for equipment failures, guiding maintenance and process engineering, and supporting ramp of new products to full-scale production during a 3-month Santa Ana training period before relocation to Asheville, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on equipment engineering, automation, or reliability
- Programming/troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and industrial automation systems
- Strong understanding of robotics, motion control systems, and mechanical/electrical subsystems in a production setting
- Leadership of continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) resulting in measurable OEE gains
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with quick solution implementation
- Excellent analytical and detail-oriented abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance
