Job Summary
Manufacturing Equipment Engineer role in Teledyne Technologies UK (Chelmsford): respond rapidly to equipment issues in silicon wafer processing equipment, lead cross-functional teams, perform complex preventive maintenance, install new equipment and modify equipment, provide training and documentation, and produce risk assessments. Candidates should have a strong electronics background (electronic/electromechanical systems), experience in a cleanroom environment, familiarity with gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical systems, and safety procedures. The role requires hands-on work, good organizational skills, ability to manage own time, and willingness to wear a supplied breathing apparatus after medical clearance and training; gowning restrictions apply in the cleanroom. The position operates a double day shift (06:00-14:00 and 13:30-21:30) in the UK, Chelmsford location.
Required Qualifications
- Educated with a minimum of HNC in electronics
- Experience in a multidisciplined role with a strong electronics skill set
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment
- Able to wear Self contained Breathing apparatus after training and pass medical
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and manage documentation and risk assessments
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and permit-to-work processes
