Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Job Summary

Manage capital expansion projects from budgeting to installation and production while overseeing equipment installation, modification, upgrades, and maintenance. Define preventative maintenance schedules, create economically rational spare parts plans, and lead Root Cause Analysis teams to implement Corrective and Preventative Actions. Collect and analyze data to drive improvements in safety and equipment availability metrics, collaborating with process engineers to enhance yield and throughput. Plan contractor and vendor visits, maintain technical documentation, and provide technical support to repair and process engineering organizations. Requires 8+ years in manufacturing, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and ability to work in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of related experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with equipment availability metrics and structured problem-solving methods in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy and as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and projects
  • Willingness to work in non-cleanroom and cleanroom type environments
  • Ability to train and support technicians within the department
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for 3-5 hours or sit for 4-8 hours per shift, and have steady hands
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce

Desired Qualifications

  • 6+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment engineering role
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Technical knowledge of PLCs
  • Technical knowledge of an array of semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with leading a team of maintenance technicians
