Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineering Technician I is an entry-level, hands-on role focused on translating engineering intent into clear, repeatable shop-floor execution. Responsibilities include developing, updating, and validating work instructions; assisting with tool management and torque control; supporting startup verification; ensuring fixtures, tooling, and workstations are ready for production; documenting production issues and escalating as needed; supporting 5S and standardization on the shop floor; assisting with pilot builds, new product introductions, and product transfers between facilities; supporting training readiness; and providing hands-on production support with troubleshooting. Requirements include a technical diploma or associate degree (or equivalent hands-on experience), strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, experience building, wiring, or troubleshooting industrial equipment, and ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Preferred qualifications include experience in manufacturing/test environments, familiarity with LOTO and UL standards, exposure to high-mix environments, and basic familiarity with PLCs/instrumentation/data acquisition systems.
