Job Summary
Design and develop manufacturing processes for electrical and metal fabrication equipment, optimizing resources and ensuring efficient production flow. Provide leadership to the manufacturing engineering team across the Faribault site, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while role modeling company values. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation, strategic change, and long-term RDE work, leading product launches through capacity planning and resource allocation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to reduce cycle times and enhance performance. Utilize project management methodologies to track milestones, resources, and budgets effectively, identifying opportunities for robotics and advanced technologies to improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience (5-7 years) in manufacturing engineering roles within the metal fabrication and/or electrical/mechanical assembly industry
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Proven track record of successfully managing manufacturing engineering teams or projects
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high growth, rapid changing manufacturing environment
