Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting manufacturing and supply chain, delivering space-grade harnessing hardware with emphasis on design for manufacturability and continuous improvement. The role acts as the technical SME to ensure resources and initiatives reduce lead time and labor hours while maintaining safety and reliability. Responsibilities include liaising between design engineering, programs, manufacturing and supply chain; driving growth and capability development of the team and department; partnering with peers to implement design changes in response to manufacturing challenges and customer needs; leveraging data to monitor safety, quality, delivery, and cost; and enabling manufacturing and supply chain autonomy. Requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 3+ years manufacturing/supply chain experience, leadership experience, data-visualization and CAD capabilities, and US citizenship with ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. This is a Level K position with a salary range of $151,300–$222,500 and is located in El Segundo, CA. The role requires the ability to obtain the appropriate security clearances; relocation is not negotiable; and candidates must meet export control and government security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- At least one year of leadership experience or have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
- 3+ years in manufacturing and/or supply chain
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to management
- Demonstrated ability to aggregate, visualize, and analyze data (SQL, Excel, PowerBI)
- Competent with CAD software (Solidworks/Altium preferred)
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance; US Citizenship
- Post start security clearance required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Leadership experience (team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
- Experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain (3+ years)
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to management
