Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineering Manager in El Paso, TX leading the Manufacturing Engineering team to support site operations through continuous improvement strategies for existing and new product lines, including NPI, product transfers, and production readiness. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, designing and optimizing production layouts (DFM), driving Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, enabling safety, efficiency, ergonomics, and automation enhancements, overseeing tooling and process validation, and ensuring alignment with project scope and site KPIs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline, 7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering/Operations Management, and 5+ years of supervisory experience; Green Belt/Black Belt preferred; experience in ISO 13485 environment and strong communication/problem-solving skills; hands-on, dynamic manufacturing mindset; adept at collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and safety, with a strong emphasis on Gemba engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years driving lean manufacturing and continue improvement concepts
- 5+ years of direct supervisory experience leading a team of manufacturing engineers
- 7+ years Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management experience
- 5+ years of related experience in Project Management, New Product Development and New Product Introduction
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with environmental health and safety inspections and regulatory compliance
- Experience and understanding of automation, tight tolerance machining and assembly processes
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related discipline
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- 5+ years driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts (Value Stream Maps, Kaizens, Six Sigma)
- 5+ years of direct supervisory experience leading a team of manufacturing engineers in an ISO 13485 manufacturing environment preferred
- 7+ years Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management experience
- 5+ years of related experience in Project Management, New Product Development and New Product Introduction
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on manufacturing mindset
- Experience with environmental health and safety inspections and regulatory/compliance knowledge
- Experience with automation, tight tolerance machining and assembly processes
