Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Direct the Manufacturing Engineering team to oversee production processes, develop budgets and plans for automation, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain costing standards, resolve spec and routing issues, and create production documents including PFMEA and work instructions. Coordinate project activities, manage departmental KPIs, and facilitate cross-functional workshops to optimize performance. Mentor engineers, administer appraisals, and drive value stream mapping for future state planning. This role reports to the Director of Operations at Dometic Marine's Sparta, TN facility, which manufactures roto-molded tanks and marine systems for the electrified boating industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, etc.)
- Solid experience within manufacturing and engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to prepare and forecast budgets
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks
- Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Self-starter and 'Can do' attitude
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to foster a team environment
- Exercise technical leadership over Manufacturing Engineers
- Experience in lean process design
- Experience in production documentation creation
