Job Summary
Integrate electrical subsystems into satellite payloads by designing wire harnesses, generating interconnect diagrams, and creating point-to-point wiring schematics. Conduct integration tests to verify functional operation while developing test fixtures and procedures for system-level validation. Analyze routine engineering problems to resolve issues with a hands-on approach, utilizing data analytics to monitor key performance indicators and improve manufacturing operations. Collaborate with program management and engineering teams across new product introduction and production environments to meet program goals. Work in a safe manner adhering to established operating procedures and AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science discipline
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or systems engineering
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a secret or top-secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with Lean and 6 Sigma tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen, process control, etc.
- Six Sigma Lean Green Belt or higher certification
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task, support multiple programs simultaneously
- Experience with DFM and DFA
- Experience with Optical systems and technology
- Experience with NPI
- Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems and implementing innovative solutions in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
