Job Summary

Conduct technical troubleshooting on complex chemical and mechanical process equipment to resolve issues affecting part quality and process performance. Optimize key process parameters using engineering data and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance performance and reduce cycle times. Maintain technical standards, codes, and procedures through process documentation to ensure stable, repeatable, and safe production. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to implement technical changes and drive material productivity savings. Apply engineering principles to stabilize non-traditional machining methods for critical gas turbine components. This co-op supports the METEM team within GE Vernova's Gas Power business, contributing to the energy transition through advanced manufacturing technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline
  • Accepted Majors: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding)
  • Internship Term: Fall/Winter 2026 (Target Start: September 21, 2026; Target End: March 27, 2027)
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (1st Shift)
  • Authorization: This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees))
  • GE will require proof of status prior to employment
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)

Desired Qualifications

  • Laboratory or hands-on experience with mechanical or chemical systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on technical data
