Job Summary
Conduct technical troubleshooting for complex chemical and mechanical process equipment to resolve issues affecting part quality and process performance. Optimize key process parameters using engineering data and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance performance and reduce cycle times. Maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures to ensure stable, repeatable, and safe production. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to implement technical changes and drive material productivity savings. Apply engineering principles to stabilize and optimize non-traditional machining methods, including Electrochemical Machining and Electrical Discharge Machining, for critical gas turbine components. Work 40 hours per week in the 1st Shift as a Fall/Winter 2026 co-op.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline
- Accepted Majors: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding)
- Internship Term: Fall/Winter 2026 (Target Start: September 21, 2026; Target End: March 27, 2027)
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (1st Shift)
- Authorization: This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees))
- GE will require proof of status prior to employment
- Pay Range: $21.00/hour – $34.00/hour (Based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed)
- Access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
