Job Summary
Plan and coordinate engineering activities for the Axle Drive Unit product lines, including reducing non-productive downtime and meeting customer demand volume and quality targets. Implement and maintain procedures per TS16949 and other quality standards; assist in installing new or modified assembly equipment; drive process improvements to ensure correct assembly and productivity. Provide technical clarification, troubleshoot issues impacting assembly safety and productivity, and support cost reduction initiatives using lean principles (PFMEA, ZFPS/VA-VE). Analyze efficiency (OEE) and support continuous improvement through new designs/methods. Collaborate with vendors/contractors for equipment installation, participate in budgeting for manufacturing expenses and capital investments, and contribute to continuous development of assembly equipment and processes.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering
- 2-4+ years of experience (internship/co-op included)
- Strong computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience applying lean manufacturing methods
- 8D problem solving methodology
- DoE
- Proficient in MS-Office
