Job Summary
Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products while implementing lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues, execute process validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ), and collaborate with R&D and Production teams to ensure manufacturability. Specify, procure, and qualify new manufacturing equipment and tooling, then create detailed documentation including work instructions and process flowcharts. Monitor production data to identify areas for continuous improvement and apply Six Sigma methodologies to resolve manufacturing issues. This role targets experienced engineers with a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in process optimization, located in Whitehall, MI, with a salary range of $69,000 - $108,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and analyzing manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with various manufacturing processes, such as machining, assembly, welding, or additive manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, improving efficiency and reducing downtime
Desired Qualifications
