Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, develop and maintain detailed routings (process steps, equipment, time estimates) in alignment with engineering drawings and quality standards, perform time studies to drive productivity, maintain comprehensive process documentation, and lead process improvement initiatives. The role involves selecting and installing equipment, developing production plans and capacity planning, diagnosing and troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and quality teams to achieve project objectives. Strong CAD/CAM and manufacturing simulation skills, lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and excellent problem-solving and communication abilities are required to contribute to continuous improvement across the Letterkenny, Ireland facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing, process optimization, and quality control
- Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (optional)
- Knowledge of automation and robotics (optional)
