Job Summary

Lead manufacturing scale-up for Veeco's advanced ion deposition system, driving production readiness through assembly, integration, final test, and early production builds across evolving configurations. Establish scalable manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation while troubleshooting complex electromechanical, vacuum, and controls issues directly with technicians. Lead structured root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence. Develop optimized assembly instructions, sequence of operations, and training materials to enable high-quality, repeatable production. Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve technical challenges, support NPI activities, and accelerate production ramp.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, sustaining engineering, or production of complex electromechanical systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and controls-related hardware issues in a production environment
  • Demonstrated success leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions that improve quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance
