Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to support production systems for carbon/carbon composites, including design and development of new equipment, root cause analysis and data-driven decisions to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost, and cycle time. Collaborates with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot and improve equipment/processes using Lean/Six Sigma and MRL standards. Utilizes engineering tools such as BOM refinement, Design Reviews, PFMEAs, IQ/OQ, Value Stream Maps, and GD&T. Provides technical support for a 7x24 manufacturing facility, authors ECOs and manufacturing procedures, supports non-conformance programs, and prepares management/customer reports. Ensures health and safety policies and quality standards are followed to meet certification requirements in plant applications. Requires hands-on capability in a production environment and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Several years of experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of process equipment operation principles, methods, and process capability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools
- MS Office experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment
