Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to apply lean methods (Kaizen, VSM, 5S) to improve quality, repeatability, and cost-effectiveness; identify opportunities to enhance product quality and reduce costs; design layouts of equipment/workspaces for maximum efficiency; support ISO9001 & ISO14001; liaise with vendors and internal departments; develop and implement Environmental/Health & Safety procedures; evaluate deviations and manage engineering changes; requires university engineering degree (P.Eng preferred) and minimum five years manufacturing experience; proficiency with SolidWorks/AutoCAD; Toronto, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- University engineering degree or equivalent, P. Eng license preferred
- Minimum Five years experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience in Solidworks and/or AutoCad
- Well-organized, results driven, energetic team player with excellent communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain a positive environment focused on maximizing the skills and abilities of all employees
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making capabilities
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication (Stamping, Rollforming, Welding) processes, tooling, equipment
