Job Summary
Design and improve manufacturing processes to maximize productivity, efficiency, and product quality while developing production tooling using 2D and 3D CAD software. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, conduct root cause analysis, and perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on products and processes. Design and implement automation systems including robotics, PLCs, and vision systems to support new product launches and engineering changes. Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, meeting quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Review product designs for manufacturability and lead design review meetings for new and existing products. Primarily Monday–Friday schedule with typical hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional additional hours based on business needs. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; equivalent manufacturing engineering experience will be considered
- Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Experience designing production tooling using SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software
- Strong tooling design experience
- Experience with automation technologies including robotics, PLCs, controls integration, and vision systems
- Project management experience with manufacturing improvement initiatives
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
