Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer on-site in Sedalia, MO responsible for driving process improvements, designing and implementing automated machinery and robotic systems, programming control systems (PLCs) and integrating CAD-designed equipment, developing production lines, and creating/maintaining SOPs and technical documentation. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, troubleshoot equipment failures, ensure quality, safety, and compliance, and apply lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S) to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, proficiency in CAD tools, PLCs/SCADA, robotics, and programming (Python/C++), plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, software, or manufacturing engineering or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Proficiency with PLCs, robotics, and data analysis tools
- Programming experience (Python, C++)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S)
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, tools, and production lines
- Ability to create and maintain SOPs and work instructions
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, quality, maintenance)
