Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the manufacturing strategy, process improvement, and quality planning within an all new Steriflow product line Cell serving growing market demand. Acts as the go-to technical expert for operations, providing input and training on standard work, partnering with operations to improve throughput, flow, quality, cost, and supporting root cause/corrective action. Supports development, launch, and execution of a dedicated cell covering machining, finishing, assembly, and test. Develops standard times, cost basis, and operational routings; drives operational rigor to reduce rework, WIP, inventory, and lead time while delivering on-time delivery; participates in NCRs, variances, and quality investigations; collects and analyzes statistical data to optimize manufacturing efficiency; designs fixtures and aids; ensures compliance with EH&S and company policies; requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology and 2 years’ experience, with hands-on shop-floor collaboration and a bias for action.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology + 2 years’ experience
- Experience with AS400
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
- Experience creating and deploying standard work within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage a complex project to successful completion
- Experience with materials such as aluminum, steel, glass, etc
- Ability to contribute to the development of new processes or systems and resolve complex technical problems in a high-volume environment
