Job Summary
QuEra is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and support the development and production release of components and assemblies for next-generation neutral atom quantum computers. Responsibilities include developing and releasing multi-level BOMs, creating manufacturing assembly/test procedures, maintaining documentation for manufacturing partners, supporting NPI from prototype to production ramp, contributing to DFM/DFA reviews, leading or supporting technology transfer to contract manufacturers, coordinating builds at external sites, and ensuring documentation complies with quality and configuration management practices. The role requires collaboration with design, supply chain, and manufacturing partners, experience in transferring products to CM partners, and strong documentation discipline. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience are required, with preferred experience in optical/opto-mechanical assemblies and CM management in diverse environments. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical products
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and document management systems
- Strong experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and transitioning products from development into production
- Experience transferring products and manufacturing processes to contract manufacturing partners
- Proven experience creating and maintaining structured Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Experience writing detailed assembly procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing test procedures
- Strong understanding of configuration management and document control processes
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing process validation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly around documentation accuracy and revision control
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic engineering environment
