Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for identifying opportunities to improve production processes, developing standard work instructions, applying 8D problem solving for quality issues, leading/measuring automation and tooling improvements, and providing technical support across manufacturing plants, including fabrication techniques (cutting, punching, welding, painting) to boost productivity, reduce costs, and elevate product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Three years experience as a manufacturing or process engineer in an industrial manufacturing setting (preferred)
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of metal cutting, forming, and welding processes (robotic experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methods and concepts
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment controls/PLC; automation/robotics experience is desired
- Ability to work with minimal direct guidance or direction from others
