Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes, implement tooling, fixtures, and automation, develop and maintain standard work instructions for all production processes, and collaborate with plant management, engineering, and operations to improve quality and reduce cycle times. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs; investigating root causes of quality issues using problem-solving methodologies (8D); designing tooling and automation solutions; providing technical support and training to operators; analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement; and applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including metal cutting, forming, and welding
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and PLC programming
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
