Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer needed to optimize plant operations and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include collaborating with operators and functional groups to optimize operations, monitoring performance and investigating deviations, troubleshooting production issues, ensuring compliance with work processes and safety/quality standards, investigating downtime and root causes, coordinating trials with T&I and operating units, providing on-call troubleshooting support, assisting with documentation and procedures, and representing the unit on trial teams, reliability teams, and HAZOPs. The role requires process knowledge across unit operations (reactors, distillation, heat transfer), ability to perform statistical analysis for process improvements, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office; Six Sigma training is a plus. Relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering
- 1-3 years of related chemical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of unit operations, including reactors, distillation, heat transfer, and more
- Understanding of Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrument Diagrams
- Analytical skills for problem-solving, decision-making, and innovation
- Six Sigma training is a plus
- Knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment, regulatory requirements, and safety systems
- Familiarity with test methods and pilot plant philosophy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
