Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance. Work with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D to implement sustainable process improvements; develop and maintain SOPs for packaging equipment; drive OEE improvements; act as SME for packaging, tableting, and blending processes; scale tableting and batching for efficiency; support product development from a production standpoint; lead automation initiatives; provide training; ensure regulatory compliance; contribute to sustainability efforts; collaborate with vendors; analyze production data to identify cost reductions; travel 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing processes and equipment - focus on packaging, blending, tableting and related systems preferred
- Proficiency in SOP creation and documentation
- Travel Required: 10%
- Experience in driving OEE improvements and implementing lean manufacturing principles
- Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and problem-solving techniques
- In-depth understanding of tableting and batching processes, including scaling and optimization
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
