Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer or Principal Manufacturing Engineer role requiring on-site support in Palmdale, CA with travel up to 10%. Responsibilities include optimizing manufacturability of designs, participating in tool design reviews to reduce build times and costs, defining sequences of operations for product builds, investigating non-conforming products, and providing technical solutions across electrical, hydraulic, fuels, fluids, and propulsion systems. Candidates should have strong GD&T and blueprint-reading skills, ERP/Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to liaise with multiple leadership levels. The role can be filled at either Manufacturing Engineer or Principal Manufacturing Engineer level based on qualifications, with a clear path to senior responsibilities and potential for a Secret clearance. Preferred qualifications include a STEM degree, hands-on experience on production lines, and experience introducing innovative manufacturing techniques. Relocation assistance is available; travel and first-shift scheduling are noted, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance in a government-clearance environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of technical and/or engineering experience
- Master’s Degree with 0 years of experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Proficient reviewing and interpreting Blueprints and 3-D models
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors
- Ability to work 1st shift "5:00am-3:30pm" and any work schedule (times may vary)
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time
